It was a great show like usual. Sorry I haven't been able to get any segments in yet but I definitely will for this week. I'm disappointed that I couldn't get the win but I do congratulate Dan and especially Douglas. Great work by both of you. It was definitely a great main event.
Great work by everyone for the most part. That was one hell of a show though. Good luck toping it!

before we start challenging each other to see who can do the biggest face turn, let's take a moment to remember that face work is totally overrated...
we can have a roster full of nothing but heels and still have creepy weirdos vs. cocky douchebags, or tortured souls vs. corporate shills, or sneaky coniving assholes vs. psychotic clowns from mars... a thousand shades of gray is more interesting than "good versus evil" any day... it just happens to be that SCW is mostly a dark gray right now.
if you have a roster that is half "good guys", you know exactly what they're going to do, every single time. but if everybody on the roster is kiiiiinda a piece of shit in their own special way, absolutely anything is possible.

Ewrestling (as has been my experience) has always been pretty heel top heavy. I think personally of all the characters I've ever created I've had two face characters (One of them successful)
I don't think we need a 50/50 balance, but I don't think face work is always over-rated. Not every face has to be the clean cut white meat shiny white night in sparkly armor.
That and although a fed of nothing but heels sounds great, eventually I would love to have people I'd actually want to see win (Just not against me ;D) emerge. You need your heros as well as your villains. I happen to believe Good versus evil can be quite interesting when done correctly.
As for the show itself, I'll try to have my opinions up by tomorrow. Things are rather busy right now (Hence Demarco not on this week's show)

Shades of gray is fine. But when everyone is an asshole just trying out-heel each other for the sake of it, it gets kind of boring and a little too extreme. I mean we seriously had a guy get cheered in results and when he realized he was getting cheered ...he hit a make a wish kid with a microphone (...which was hilarious mind you). But people shouldn't be afraid to have their character have SOME redeemable qualities that make them maybe a little likable. And if it really WAS a shades of gray with several DIFFERENT characters doing DIFFERENT things ...but it just feels like a lot of the heel work has been in the same vein of the others: blatant heel work to get a rise out of others and define themselves as heels.
Again, it is just out bad-assing eachother.

Good versus evil can be quite interesting when done correctly. i can't disagree with that in a general sense, but when it comes to e-wrestling, what are we doing it for if not to simply entertain ourselves? a fictional crowd cheering because a good guy won is boring 10 times out of 10. but a fictional kid getting hit in the face with a microphone is funny 10 times out of 10. that being said... if anyone started e-wrestling because they wanted to explore universal themes of good versus evil and thus gain a deeper understanding of the nature of humanity then 1) i take it all back, and 2) you're a weirdo. everybody "out-badassing" each other is no less interesting than a good guy trying to "out-good" a bad guy while the bad guy tries to "out badass" the good guy. these are both equally pointless ideas until storylines and personalities and gray areas are introduced. and besides, name a top-tier WWE face in the last fifteen years whose entire gimmick hasn't essentially just been "out badassing" other badassess... it kind of stands to reason that people will be inclined to "out-badass" each other when we're writing fiction based on an extreme form of entertainment where people jump off of ladders in an effort to injure each other and smash one another in the face with chairs. it's not that i hate face characters, i just don't want anybody who lost a match to make a mistake by thinking that a face turn is the way to instantly "fix" their character... you start RPing as a traditional "good guy" and i promise you will run out of interesting shit to do pretty fast.

. . .
That I definitely agree with. I'm not entirely against people changing alignments (Heel to Face visa verse) if they think it'll bring a different depth and or spout of creativity for their character, or a 1000 other reasons, but yeah, using it as an instant fix is never a good idea.

In that case, you need to take it all back and yes... I am a weirdo.I like applying the concept of morality and right and wrong in my RPs and character work. With that said ...I agree that no one should change their character because they lost ...that would be silly. But I don't believe ANYONE should be cookie cutter. A face can be just as boring as a heel, and a heel can be just as boring as a face ...IF they are all just the same. Both alignments should have a bunch of variety throughout the roster. Not every heel should be blatantly attacking everyone nor should every face kiss babies and ALWAYS do the right thing. Basically Syren, I think me and you are on the page. Every character, face or heel, should try to differentiate from the rest of the roster. But I do feel that we need to pace the brutal attacks, crucifications, and abusing dying children or else it wouldn't seem as special or brutal but just another day. And yes, if a Make a wish kid got beat up every week ...it would get boring. But yes, this time around was hilarious.

It'd be funny if every week Atkins would do something HORRIBLE to a different minority. Fat people, old people, blind people, cripples, etc.

Hey, I WAS a face that surprisingly got turned and never saw it coming...lol. I figured I was going to be the 'CM Punk 2011' of SCW only opposite...He was a heel who basically became a face. I just figured, I was going to be the 'face' with an attitude. I APPARENTLY went the other direction. I'm not sure how 'good' I will do as a heel, seeing as I've NEVER been a heel before. People tried to turn me in GCWA, CWF, and ICW. I guess I will have to try it out as a heel now. Hopefully I can pull it off, but if need be I'll go back to a face. Just let me know which you guys prefer. HAHA ESPECIALLY MANAGEMENT!!! You guys know my work over the years...lol

Great feedback guys! Enjoyed reading everyone's opinions. Sorry I've been MIA the last few days...in the middle of a temporary business relocation this week...so I'm finally getting settled in and should be back to 100% in a few days.

Let me apologize for the tardiness in this review. So without further ado...
Which was the best match? I would have to say the main event. Overall it was a pretty close battle between the four men.
What was the most exciting/fun point? It may sound self-serving, but my match. Despite coming up short in the victory department it was fun reading a match that also involved two other great wrestlers.
What did you like the best about the show? The commentating is getting better, the flow is getting pretty good, and the matches are getting to where they need to be.
What surprised you about the show? If I had to choose something it'd be the face Dan taking out Angel.
Best segment? I would have to say Alexis. She is developing her character very nicely.
Best commentary?There's a tie here. It's between:
Hood: Atta boy, Atkins…don’t ever give the woman a choice.
JD: That’s borderline rape!
Hood: It ain’t rape if she’s ugly...it's charity.
(I had to work to keep from laughing out loud with that one.)
and
Hood: Damn, that bitch is fast.
JD: She has a name you sexist bastard!
Hood: Hey! I had a father, so fuck off.
Best wrestling spot? That's gotta go to the three finishers that it took to eliminate Night Crawler.
Compare to other shows would you say this one was:
Better
The Same
Worst
Negative thoughts.. My only negative is something that I can clearly see is being tweaked every week to improve. The commentators still need a little work, but I can see where the heel/face tendencies are starting to take shape.
Personal comments.. This goes out to Billy Anderson and Madelyn “The Shadow” Wright. Both of you need to re-read your entrances. Neither of them actually mention your names, and Wright's doesn't actually name her entrance song. Just a couple of things that need to be fixed.
Also to Alexis Prodigy... I liked your segment with the exception of one small oversight. You were facing 3 wrestlers, and not 4 as mentioned by Stella Beckart.
Suggestions? Keep working on developing/improving the commentators, keep Predator at about the same level of involvement as this week, and it looks like things will only go up from here.
Questions.. N/A
