I hate to say it but I REALLY like what they are currently doing with Austin Aries, the X Division title, Destination X and the stip added to the PPV each year (it really is ingenious considering where the company started). They just need to stick to this idea each year (easier said than done with this company).
-Bobby Roode is a GREAT heel champion and isn't WWE reject ...so his reign is refreshing.
-I like the idea of the Gut check challenge ...but it does need to be refined a bit.
-Open fight night? Meh.
-Austin Aries has and always will be great.
Basically, I am going to say what everyone else has said about TNA. It definitely has the YOUNG wrestling talent coming from every corner of the fed ...it just needs to book them better (I.E no huge heel turn every week). Like they are ALMOST there as far as being adequate, not WWE competition mind you, but having their own thing going. They just need to drop a few out dated ideals and stop having something terrible like the A.J/Dixie bullshit that occurred. Style is better than this. Dixie shouldn't be on television.
Knockouts also need to be featured as much as they used to in competition rather than Brooke Hogan being featured at all. Hulk, Jarrett, Hardy, Anderson and Sting need to fuck off. Bully Ray, however, still has some good years left in him.

What was that about the man that single handily helped keep WCW afloat for years, is one of the most recognized figures in wrestling history, and STILL beloved by millions of fans (Including myself who got into wrestling because of him)? Why should he? He's still in shape, he can still compete, and he still gets the biggest pops in TNA arenas. Hogan is definitely past his wrestling prime, and so is Flair. The wrestler you mentioned still has it in him. He should be able to not only compete, but compete at the highest levels as long as he can (wants). This man... this... Man... Myth... Legend... Icon... STING!

Sting Hardy and Anderson might not be founding members of TNA and Anderson might be a WWE Reject... But Anderson has the potential to help bring TNA to the top. Jeff Hardy has had some problems in his personal life, and they over flowed into his professional life... But he still has several years of helping ANY company he wrestles for. Flair is probably going back to WWE. Hogan both Brooke and Hulk, need to stay off TV, and only make special appearances.
Hogan wasn't the reason WCW lasted as long as it did. IT was Bischoff. Once Bischoff got taken off TV and out of Power, WCW went to shit. Anybody remember the Russo era? Which kicked off right after Bischoff was removed.
If TNA wants to succeed its simple. They need Hogan, Bischoff and Heyman all working their magic behind the scenes. Paul Heyman turned a small time promotion into one of the biggest parts of Wrestling History ever. If Heyman can get hired on with TNA, TNA will become a huge part of history as well. Also, something else I read on a article, is Jim Ross needs to go to TNA. Not on screen. Purely in charge of talent relations. When JR was in charge of shit in WWE, we saw some of our biggest Attitude Era wrestlers come in. JR knew what he was doing, and proved it. However, TNA just won't give JR the power he would need to be as succesful as he was in WWE.
I agree with the AJ/Dixie bullshit. Its old, outdated, and in many ways unoriginal. They need to bring back the 6 sided ring that helped establish them and focus on what brought them to the spotlight. Their X-Division(the whole reason I started watching TNA).
Rhoode, Bully Ray, AJ Styles, Cowboy James Storm, Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan(TNA Dropped the ball with him, giving him the "DNA of TNA" moniker and not giving him the world title as well as probably losing him to the WWE now that his contract is up.) Austin Aries, and Crimson are all people that TNA need to use to their full potential. As well as start picking up more stars from the independent scene. Anybody remeber Desmond WOlfe? Dude was amazing. Loved the hell out of that guy.
ALl the people i listed above are the future of the company. Rhoode yes isn't a WWE Reject, and I feel his Title run is about 4 years over do. I also feel that building Rhoode up for the Bound For Glory series like they did last year only for him to loose was their 3rd BIGGEST Mistake.
Their 2nd biggest mistake in my eyes was losing Christian back to WWE. Their first biggest Mistake is going to be losing Samoa Joe to WWE. Joe is a former WOrld CHampion in TNA and is busy holding hands with Magnus(who will be a future main eventer in the coming years if TNA lets him be himself.) Joe helped define who TNA was. A alternative Big Guy Wrestler working for a alternative style wrestling company.
TNA has lost its identity with Hogan coming in and turning it into WCW v2.0 Although TNA is getting better, it needs to get back to its roots. The X Division and its once very talented Knockouts Division.

Nikko... I think you misread my post. I never even suggested Hogan was the reason WCW stayed afloat. I'm also referring to pre-Bischoff WCW as well. I remember a time when the likes of Flair, Steiners, Luger, and just about everyone else was jumping ship to WWF. Who carried the WCW brand without all those other top performers? Sting did. Sting is the sole reason I got into wrestling in the 80's myself when most people were watching WWF.
Like I also said he still has it. He can still perform with the best of them in the ring, still gets some of the biggest pops when he walks down that aisle, and still has the charisma to tear the house down. The whole Insane Icon has actually been very entertaining as far as I'm concerned. So as long as wants to continue to compete, he should be allowed to. He's EARNED that with all he's done for professional wrestling.

Justin, I was replying to the original post really. Your comment though I did misread, but it still stands. Bischoff is the reason why WCW lasted as long as it did during the years that counts. I love the Insane gimmick. But I think Sting needs to continue doing what he has been doing in TNA. Helping the other talent reach the next level.

I stand by mine as well. Sting was what even got them to that point. Had he defected to WWF as well I don't know if WCW ever becomes a power. Bischoff was a brilliant mind, and definitely what took WCW to great heights. It still had to survive the late 80's and early 90's first. That's where Sting comes in. He was the face of WCW.
I'll even say that even after Bischoff, Sting was to WCW what Hogan was to WWF. People were all over themselves when Sting declared himself a free agent, and he didn't say a word for a long time. Yet he still was as big as he ever was. I have nothing but respect for that man, and everything he's done for wrestling here in America, and internationally.
