I'd like to thank the Main Eventers this week. The rps were great and it's going to make a great match. I can't wait to see it play out.
I'd like to thank everyone else who put forth the effort this week and put up quality work.
No Shows will happen... the good thing is that most of the now shows will likely be in dark matches so they won't hurt the show any.

Great, from main event to opening bout dark match.
If I cared about winning, I'd be sad right now.

Yeah, the amount of work my opponents put in this week was fucking crazy ...I wouldn't be surprised if it just ended with all five people going over the rope at the same time with their feet touching the ground at the same time. Great job to everyone in the main because those RPs blew my mind.
And there was some great work by Schofield and Crawler as well as others as well.
Again, crazy week.

Crawler you're not a dark match. I probably shouldn't say that... but I did. I'll take my lashings later.

It doesn't matter to me where on the card I'm at. I've fought in dark matches, mid-cards, and main events in the past. I just want to compete now.

You should worry more about that lashing GM, I hear TGO has one of those crazy 9-tail whips and he likes to use red hot pokers.
btw, just in case anyone might misconstrue it, I'm not really upset about my place on the card and even if it was a dark match I wouldn't mind too much (I mean, yeah, a little. I don't think anyone likes being in a dark match) but yeah, I'm just giving the reverend here a hard time for shits and giggles.

I would just like to say that i beleive I am no where near the level of my 4 opponents. You guys are crazy ridiculous with the amount of detail in your rps, and the way you tell stories. I feel like you are all authors or got degrees in english or something. Anyway i tried my best to hang and you 4 did bring the best out in me i think these were two of the better rps i have ever written, with that said good luck to all...win or loose im glad i got to test myself against who are gonna run this fed. i can only go up from here.

i also have a degree in english, but i hide it pretty well by being an idiot. in my opinion, there is not an RP grading system in the universe where Curt Canon was outclassed by the rest of us in any significant way. i feel like i almost certainly got my ass kicked by everyone else in the match, and the fact that other people feel the same way to some extent should make for an awesome Sunday night of wrestling... sometime on Monday afternoon. anyway, i wouldn't sweat the grammar and structural details... there are really only two types of people in this, um, "business": those who can tell an engaging story and those who can't. this skill has almost NOTHING to do with how "correctly" the story is put down onto the page. as you keep writing every day, all the grammar and structure bullshit can be learned, and will almost get better naturally without any effort every time you sit down and write... it is MUCH harder to "learn" how to entertain the reader, how to get people emotionally invested in your characters, etc., and the SCW-era Curt Canon saga definitely already has all of that going on. and in a big-picture sense, my english degree has been about as useful in real life as my OCW championships. i should have been a fucking astronaut or something.

AA in communications here, and you can tell how well it's working for me as I'm currently employed by a Wal-Mart. *Anyone else sense the strong sarcasm there? Good.

As an outsider, looking in, I'd have to agree. It's not always about the length (filler fluff most times) nor is it about the "proper terminology and educated language."
In this game, it's all about the entertainment. If I want to read something with all the filler, fluff, properness and higher English, I'll grab a George R. R. Martin novel.
The wrestling stories posted here shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to read (at most) and they should engage the reader immediately. They should be written in language that is easy to understand and follow. They should, also, leave the reader craving more.
It's actually quite difficult to master this form of story telling. You're limited to only 200 lines, and two stories a week. I admire all of us who even try to play this insane game.
In short, just because another player's post has more paragraphs, more words, more lines, etc...doesn't mean he/she told a better story.
Don't try to be the better writer, be the better entertainer.
