Hi all,
Now let me just preface this all by saying that this might come off not in the right way, but I'm not really caring at this moment.
Firstly I would like to thank EVERYONE who has stood by the SCW and I will tell you that we all appreciate it greatly. It's nice to know that we have loyalty amongst some of you.
Secondly I would like to say I'm not apologizing for me being gone for as long as I have. I am not going to apologize for something that had me in a not so good place for the past week or week and a half. Dealing with a family emergency, a near death, is NOT something to apologize about and if someone thinks I owe an apology for that, then I'm not holding you hostage to the SCW.
I DO seem to remember the co-owner and the GM both coming out and stating what was going on in my life and in theirs as well. Life happens and we will move on from it. What I will say is that we greatly appreciate everyone's hard work and dedication for this past show and we will put out great results on Sunday showing our appreciation. That being said, we sincerely express our gratitude to you. I can not whole-heartedly apologize for life getting in the way of some things. As I stated in an earlier post if things got out of hand for someone on the roster and they came to me or another staff member and say "hey, something is going on in my life right now, I need some time off" great, granted. No questions asked, except the "are you ok" statement, no apologies needed. In fact there are some of you that have already done this and we were extremely understanding, in fact one of the people is one of the ones who is part of this "rebranding." Which btw does NOT have our stamp of approval. Dan said it best earlier when he said that this is a game, not real life.
Now please don't take this like we don't appreciate everyone trying to keep the site active, because we absolutely do appreciate it.
Furthermore, I do not feel like we had to explain what is going on in our lives to anyone. We did make everyone aware that we had some personal issues that have arisen and we need to take care of it. There are some things that people DO want to keep private. Keep in mind that everyone deals with things differently and that everyone has the right to share or not share things. I am a private guy and have been for the majority of my life. I have a very good support system with some of the best friends that I have ever known. I would also like to say I completely appreciate all of the kind words that you have given me and my family (you know if it's you) and by no means do I want this to sound like I'm not an approachable guy because if you ask me a question I'll be honest with you or I'll tell you that I don't feel like talking about it. The other staff members are very much the same way. We needed some time off and that's that. Granted I did jump the gun and say that the results would be up earlier than they were, but I DID correct myself after the fact and if I gave false impressions I WILL apologize about that.
As for a couple of people trying to start their own fed, I have addressed this in a prior thread, but I'll beat a dead horse. If you feel like you need to leave, we are not holding you hostage. I feel like we have a very strong roster and I'm hoping that the majority of you will stick with us. I personally (and I'm not speaking for the other staff members when I say this next part) feel that the way that it was done was not in a good way and I feel like it's a pretty shitty thing to do. Please keep in mind, results were only due on the 1st, and this started 5 days later, when we did keep people as informed as we could and as we felt comfortable with. I feel like if this is going to be a common theme with the people who started the uproar, then we don't need you in here to cause unnecessary drama. I do understand that you worked hard on your role-plays and that you want to see results of the hard work. We appreciate that, BUT there's something called tact that you lacked. If you feel like you need to leave and do your own thing, then you know where the door is and we wish you luck on your endeavors.
Now, I'm jumping off of my soap box and letting everyone know that we are still here and we are going to continue the fed at a regularly scheduled pace. This is just a bump in the road and we can consider it growing pains.
I hope everyone sticks around. If you have any questions I make myself very available.
Trevor
